This Privacy Policy explains how Ace Learning ("Ace Learning," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of www.acephonics.com (the "Website") and the Ace Interactive Practice learning platform, collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal data of visitors, customers, students, and parents/guardians ("you"). This Policy is written to comply with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 ("PDPL") and its executive regulations, and other applicable Egyptian law.

We act as the "data controller" for personal data collected through the Website and our learning platform, as that term is defined under the PDPL.
We use personal data to: create and manage your account and subscription; process and deliver orders of physical books; provide access to digital subscription content; generate and personalize practice/quiz content; provide customer support; send order confirmations and service communications; meet Egyptian tax, commercial, and consumer-protection recordkeeping obligations; and, only with your separate consent, send marketing communications.
Where we rely on consent, that consent is specific, informed, and freely given, and is never bundled with acceptance of unrelated terms. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting info@acephonics.com; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Ace Learning's practice platform is used by students who may be minors. Under the PDPL, processing the personal data of a child under 15 years old requires the prior, verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian; for students aged 15–18, additional safeguards apply as determined by Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center (“PDPC”). Student accounts are created and consented to either directly by a parent/guardian or by the enrolling academy acting with parental authorization; academies are responsible for obtaining that authorization before enrolling a minor student.

Some of our technology and hosting providers process or store data outside Egypt. Where we transfer personal data outside Egypt, we do so only where the destination offers an adequate level of protection, or with appropriate PDPC authorization and/or your explicit consent, as required under the PDPL.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to meet Egyptian tax and commercial recordkeeping requirements (generally five years for commercial/accounting records), and to resolve disputes. Account and learning-progress data is retained for the duration of the student's enrollment and a reasonable period afterward, unless earlier deletion is requested and legally permitted.
Under the PDPL, you (or, for a minor, their parent/guardian) have the right to: access your personal data and obtain a copy; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC).

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption of stored passwords, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a significant risk to your rights, we will notify the PDPC within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and will notify affected individuals within 3 working days, as required by the PDPL.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our ads. When you visit the Website, sign up, or pay, we share that event (the page visited, a sign-up, or a payment amount in EGP) and a scrambled (hashed) email address or phone number with Meta, so it can tell which ads worked. We never share passwords or your child's learning data with Meta.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Website with a new effective date, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice.
